In the Hand Embroidery business, time is a very important element and demands immense accountability, as the season’s needs must be met. Generally, an archetype of a design obtained from abroad is sent to us in India for production. Sometimes, a swatch made by us is resent by the client to use as a basis for a new design. Quality is of prime importance to us and must be immaculate at all times. A brief overview of our process is as follows:
Receipt of Order
When we receive an order, our production team first checks it to ensure that all details for its execution have been provided. These include paper patterns, artworks or sketches, original samples and complete list of requirements.

An order form is then generated on the computer, which contains an order number, information about the client, production related processing and information of time of processing which greatly expedites deliveries and ensures greater quality.
Sketching
Before starting any embroidery, our artwork team carefully trace out the design on tracing paper. This tracing paper serves as a blue print of the embroidery and is known as the ‘Khaka.’
Punching
To transfer the traced image onto the actual fabric, extremely minute pin holes are laboriously made by hand over all the relevant outlines of the design
Printing
After the tracing paper is punched, it is then printed onto the fabric. In this process, the image of the tracing paper is overlaid upon the base fabric and printed using a special solution. The solution seeps through the tiny holes created during the punching process and gives the hand embroidery workers a clear outline to work on.
Hand Embroidery
The fabrics are stretched across two poles. Several skilled artisans, who are trained in various degrees, are seated on the floor to do the actual embroidery. Skilled as the artisans undoubtedly are, their training is a continuous process and they are constantly updating their already vast talent and speed to keep up with the market needs. These artisans scrupulously follow the swatch or written instructions regarding the colour scheme, items to be used for the embroidery etc. and artfully transform beads, bullion, sequins and fabrics to the exact requirements of the client
Quality Control
Once completed, each and every piece of hand embroidery is exhaustively checked for stains, neatness, errors and inadvertent lapses in order to achieve the highest quality with zero defects. Finally, our packing and dispatch team ensure perfect packaging and dispatch to the client.
